National Forest Foundation (NFF)  is pleased to offer 2 full-time, term (One (1) 2-year term and one (1) 3-year term), exempt positions that will support restoration, recreation and forest resilience projects on the Umpqua and Rogue River - Siskiyou National Forests in Southern Oregon. Position Function:  The Southern Oregon Project Coordinator supports planning, implementation, and evaluation of conservation initiatives in Southern Oregon, with a focus on priority work on the Umpqua and Rogue River–Siskiyou National Forests. Core duties include coordination across watershed restoration, recreation improvements, and forest resilience efforts. The role also contributes to reforestation initiatives; reforestation technical expertise is beneficial. Looking for a Procurement Forester with experience in buying hardwood logs and standing timber. Qualified candidates will have 3-5 years experience in the purchasing of standing timber. Must have a good understanding of logging and BMP's. 2 Year or 4 Year degree preferred but not required with sufficient experience. Job is based out of the mill in Oak Ridge, TN, but will spend most of the time on the road locally.  Job responsibilities include: Locating and acquiring standing timber tracts. Cruising timber and doing evaluations. Managing timber contracts. Hiring and supervising contract logging crews. Working with local independent loggers to purchase gatewood. Being backup scaler on yard as needed Job is full time with health insurance and 401k available. A company vehicle will be provided. Pay will be determined based on skill level and experience.
