Job Purpose

Safely and effectively perform predictive and preventative electrical maintenance functions as a level II electrician

In this position you will have the opportunity to:

  • Consistently demonstrates safety is the highest priority and performing all duties in accordance with safety rules and regulations
  • Perform preventative and predictive electrical maintenance functions
  • Perform basic troubleshooting and take appropriate action
  • Make basic electrical repairs and process control changes
  • Read wiring and circuit diagrams
  • Seek and consult with higher-level positions for more complex issues
  • Perform other duties as necessary

What do I need to be successful?

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Time management, organizational and prioritizing skills
  • Ability to read and interpret wiring and circuit diagrams and SOPs
  • Ability to read and understand safety rules and regulations and recognize safety hazards (OSHA, 1910, NEC)
  • Knowledge of basic PLC Programming
  • Ability to interpret various PLC coding to troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and computer equipment throughout the facility
  • Troubleshooting skills
  • Knowledge of DC motors and motor control, AC motors and motor control including motor starters and Variable Speed equipment
  • Basic instrumentation skills
  • Basic knowledge of tools and equipment
  • Self-motivated and results oriented
  • Good written and oral communication skills
  • Knowledge of work order systems (EAM or equivalent)
  • Team player who will utilize all resources to troubleshoot electrical problems
  • Ability to work 12-hour shifts or day shifts as required
  • Basic computer skills and Microsoft programs
  • Knowledge of pollution control equipment repairs (RTOs, RCOs/ESPs, Baghouses, etc.)
  • Ability to work at high elevations
  • High level of energy

Education:

  • Vocational degree required.
  • Basic PLC training completed.

Experience:

  • 1+ years’ electrical experience required
  • Or any equivalent combination of education and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the key responsibilities of this position.
