Job Purpose
To assist in the procurement of goods and services for Capital Procurement. Assists Engineering team with administrative procurement tasks, working alongside Corporate Procurement and Finance.
In this position you will have the opportunity to:
- Support the engineering team procuring goods and services.
- Ensure all requisitions are compliant with LP policy.
- Team with key internal customers to meet their requirements for goods and services.
- Manage creation of PO’s, ensure all necessary approvals are documented and orders are placed/ shipments delivered on time.
- Ensure all items are accurately listed in the PO (aligned with quote, proposal, contract or PO request provided).
- Support GBS Management strategies and projects.
- Coordinate processes with accounts payable to facilitate enforcement of LP policy.
- Other duties or responsibilities not listed above may be assigned as necessary.
What do I need to be successful?
- 2-3 years of procurement experience preferred.
- Or equivalent combination of education and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the key responsibilities of this position.
- In depth knowledge of procurement practices, current operating platforms used for procurement at LP (currently SAP Ariba & SAP).
- Strong communication and analytical skills.
- Self-starter and ability to act as a change agent.
- Innovative and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders & vendors.
- Ability to work in teams.
- Highly organized and able to manage time efficiently.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required.
