Log Procurement and Sales/Forestry and Land Management divisions are currently hiring full-time Log Yard/Forestry Associates.  Locations could be at any of our mills or land ownership locations.  Primarily looking for placements in Kentucky, Tennessee, and Missouri. As a Log Yard/Forestry Associate, you will perform various functions or roles as log buying, forestry and land management positions. A typical new hire can quickly earn $17.00 to $19.00 an hour. You will be a valuable part of our log procurement/forestry team, ensuring our production quotas are met in a timely manner while observing the highest safety and quality standards. As a Log Yard/Forestry Associate, your team relies on your efforts; therefore, you must be reliable and punctual and regularly perform physical and repetitive tasks that support your production and team goals. WHAT YOU WILL DO Forest Inventory ➢ Conduct forest inventory on public and/or private lands using handheld data recorders and basic forest measurement tools. Operate ATV’s, OHV’s, or snowmobiles on a daily or periodic basis. Timber Stand Improvement ➢ Seedling release, tree planting, etc., using handheld mechanized or manual tools. Other Specialized Projects as Needed ➢ Timber sale boundary marking and inventory. ➢ Carbon market related projects. ➢ Urban Forestry/vegetation treatments. ➢ Control invasive plant species via chemical and mechanical means.
