Machinists are highly skilled and detail-oriented individuals who are responsible for operating manual and CNC lathes and mills to ensure the production of high-quality parts. We are a job shop who repairs and rebuilds parts for all of Idaho Forest Groups mills. Occasional overtime is required for large projects and mill outages or repairs. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: Machinists are required to setup, program, and operate CNC and manual lathes and mills. Ensuring high-quality workmanship and adherence to safety standards. Interpret engineering drawings and blueprints to produce precise parts. The Mechanical Maintenance Manager leads and develops the mechanical maintenance organization for IFG’s state-of-the-art sawmill located in Lumberton, MS. This role builds on the existing foundation of maintenance systems and practices, oversees mill reliability, trains and develops the maintenance team, and ensures safe, efficient operation of all mechanical assets. There is a significant focus on data-driven maintenance approaches and overseeing business processes through a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).  This role involves collaborating with other departments to meet production targets, improve overall operational efficiency, and ensure alignment with financial goals.
