Job Purpose
To operate a simple piece of equipment with repetitive functions.
In this position you will have the opportunity to:
- Monitor panel weights to ensure quality product.
- Complete all quality test and set-up procedures.
- Fill chain troughs with fresh water prior to start up and before each run.
- Verify panel gap at coater is set correctly
- Inspect slurry coater daily, noting any deficiencies.
- Clean sensors.
- Monitor gapping conveyor.
- Adjust fiberglass choppers to ensure proper glass coverage.
- Monitor coat thickness with wet film gauge.
- Remove change and/or clean spray tips
- Pressure wash conveyors and floor underneath.
- Pressure slurry coater cabinet and pans.
- Flush slurry transfer pump.
- Responsible for the system clean up, spray down process during the day and end of day clean up.
- Assist on fiberglass changes.
- Use radio to maintain communication with operators, maintenance, and supervisor.
- Logs downtime and notes causes.
- Perform all duties in accordance with safety rules and regulations.
- Perform all other duties as assigned in accordance with safety rules and regulations.
What do I need to be successful?
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Knowledge of simple equipment operation.
- Knowledge of general equipment maintenance.
- Time management skills.
- Demonstrated mechanical ability.
- Ability to read and understand safety rules and regulations.
Education:
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
Experience:
- 3 – 6 months experience.
- Or any equivalent combination of education and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the key responsibilities of this position.
