Full Time Position: Monday-Friday 7am-4pm w/ possibility for OT
Job Summary:
We are seeking a dependable and motivated General Machine Operator to join our lumber manufacturing team. This role is responsible for operating and maintaining various types of production equipment used in the processing of lumber and wood products. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude, equipment knowledge, and a background or familiarity with the forestry or logging industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate sawmill and production machinery safely and efficiently
- Monitor equipment performance and make adjustments as needed
- Inspect finished products to ensure quality standards are met
- Perform routine maintenance and report any mechanical issues
- Follow all safety procedures and company policies
- Assist with general production and facility tasks as needed and assigned
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED
- Previous experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment preferred
- Working knowledge of machinery and mechanical systems
- Experience in forestry, logging, or related industries is a strong plus
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
- Dependable with a positive work ethic
