Job Purpose

To receive and greet visitors and answer incoming telephone calls in a courteous and professional manner. To provide general office support as assigned.

In this position you will have the opportunity to:

  • May answer phones in main reception area within a corporate reception office and using a large, multi-line switchboard; direct calls as appropriate
  • Greet, process, and direct visitors; provide general customer service and information as requested
  • May sort, open, and process incoming and outgoing mail and prepare packages for mailing; may be required to pick-up and deliver mail at off-site locations
  • May compute and enter data into a database system
  • Maintain office supply inventory and ensure materials are stocked and organized.
  • Facilitate general office communication and administrative coordination.
  • Provide administrative support to department leaders as assigned.

What do I need to be successful?

  • 1-2 years of experience in an office environment; experience with a multi-line switchboard preferred. Or any equivalent combination of education and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the key responsibilities of this position
  • Knowledge of large, multi-line switchboard systems
  • Good clerical and mathematical skills
  • Ability to operate standard office equipment
  • Ability to operate a computer and supporting software

Education

  • High School diploma or equivalent required

Work Environment

  • Daily office environment
