Job Purpose
To maintain proper lubrication of all machinery in facility and to monitor equipment for potential failures.
In this position you will have the opportunity to:
· Greases bearings using a grease gun, cleans grease fittings and inspects bearings on a scheduled basis
· Operates forklift and uses drum dolly to move drums of oil
· Fills hydraulic tanks using a forklift
· Operates hand liquid pump and reads level of tanks
· Fills automatic oilers, makes adjustments and uses grease gun to lubricate chains
· Removes and installs filters with wrenches
· Maintains communications with other personnel as required
· Performs all duties in accordance with safety rules and regulations
What do I need to be successful?
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Knowledge of preventative and predictive maintenance functions.
- Knowledge of maintenance equipment and tools.
- Time management and prioritizing skills.
- Ability to read and understand safety rules and regulations.
Education/ Experience
· High school diploma or equivalent required
· Ability to stand for extended periods of time
· Good hand / eye coordination
· Ability to use hand tools
· Ability to read and understand safety rules and regulations
