We are currently considering applicants for several Forester I, II, and III positions based in Mount Shasta, Redding, and Diamond Springs, California.  Salary and Benefits : These are non-exempt positions with pay ranging from $16-22/hr for Forester I, $20-28/hr for Forester II and $25-35/hr for Forester III. Pay is based on education, experience and qualifications. Travel on the job is paid both ways, overtime is paid per State and Federal law. Set per-diem rates for out of town work. The Land and Minerals Department is hiring two (2) summer interns. The primary focus of these internships will be to perform field forestry tasks including, but not limited to, tree planting inspections, regeneration checks, timber sale preparation and administration, marking pine plantations, native plant community classification, cabin lease inspections and other duties as assigned.
