Job Description

Join the Green Diamond team as a Geospatial Analyst at our California Timberlands Division. You’ll support the Senior Geospatial Scientist to deliver property wide geospatial analysis, modeling, and reporting that underpins conservation planning, regulatory compliance, and field operations, turning complex environmental and operational data into clear, actionable insights for projects tied to Habitat Conservation Plans, agency partnership monitoring and research, and watershed compliance work.

Key responsibilities

·Produce analysis and reporting for Green Diamond’s Habitat Conservation Plans, Safe Harbor Agreement, other landscape agreements, and scientific monitoring/research with agency partners.

·Contribute to planning efforts that include watershed studies on mass wasting, waste discharge requirements, and Total Maximum Daily Loads (TMDLs).

·Support wildlife and fisheries monitoring programs for conservation planning and project evaluation.

·Interpret and present information that supports Forestry and Operations and Conservation Planning goals at the division level.

Qualifications

·Bachelor’s degree in Natural Resources with strong course emphasis in geospatial science, remote sensing, and statistics, or a degree in geospatial science, statistics, or a related field with supporting coursework in natural resources.

· Proficiency with Python and SQL.

· Ability to process and analyze LIDAR data.

· Hands-on work with drone-based data collection and imagery processing.

 

Annual salary range depending on experience $71k to $107k with an excellent benefit package.
