Forester 1

Green Diamond is currently seeking candidates for Forester 1.  Under the guidance of a Registered Professional Forester (RPF), the Forester spends their days supporting Timber Harvest Plan development as well as reforestation and stand improvement efforts.  Daily tasks may include field reconnaissance, timber cruising, road and yarding engineering, and associated field layout including flagging harvest boundaries, classifying and buffering streams, programmatic permit compliance, stocking surveys, contractor crew oversight, stand improvement assessment that meet both production and environmental goals.  This fieldwork feeds the Timber Harvest Plan (THPs) under California’s rigorous permitting process, as well as the long-term goal of Green Diamond’s California timberlands, so your documentation and attention to detail matters.
