POSITION SUMMARY
The Training Specialist is responsible for developing, delivering, and managing technical training programs for maintenance personnel. This role ensures that maintenance teams have the knowledge and skills needed to effectively troubleshoot, repair, and maintain sawmill equipment and systems. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in industrial maintenance, training program development, and hands-on technical instruction.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Proficient computer skills – Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook.
Familiarity with manufacturing machinery and safety protocols.
Leadership: Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and lead a diverse team to achieve a common goal.
Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration and reporting.
Problem-solving: Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities to address operational challenges creatively and effectively.
Organizational Skills: The ability to manage time, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines. Examples include time management, multitasking, and production targets.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Ability to sit and/or stand for shift, reach with hands and arms, stoop, squat, bend at the waist, kneel, walk varying distance, and climb stairs.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Must be able to tolerate all weather elements, loud conditions, airborne particles (sawdust).
